Land Elements has been involved with the masterplanning and the first phases of implementation of this project on Island Lake. We have thoughtfully worked as the clients’ representative on this project, arranging for various construction activities to occur on site while maintaining the vision formed by our firm and the owner.

Our role as designers of project elements such as public spaces, beach areas, and future building envelopes have allowed our firm to help make the masterplan a reality for our client.

Pelican Lake Farm features miles of trails, native meadow, Minnesota woodlands, and equine specific programmed areas. Land Elements was involved of all masterplanning aspects of this property, including a renovation of the existing farmstead and the development of wildlife and land management plans

Our team has worked on a variety of projects at
Concordia College.
Working within the framework of the master plan, we
have designed distinct spaces that reflect the mission of
the college.

Land Elements Projects at Concordia:
- Offutt school of Business (Completion in 2012)

- Barry Auditorium Addition (Completion 2013)

Land Elements had the opportunity to work with Minot State University to develop the second phase of a pedestrian corridor designed to link the residential areas of the campus to the academic core of the campus. Working within their campus masterplan, Land Elements focused on carrying and unique material palette through the entire space. The concept developed was based on drumlins found in a nearby park, formed by melting glaciers.

This project was scheduled to be installed in Summer of 2011, but was postponed due to flooding. The new project installation date is slated for summer of 2013.

A historic plaza renovated for students and faculty to enjoy a centrally located gathering space with native plantings and outdoor art.

After collaborating with North Dakota State University
on projects on the Fargo Main Campus, Land Elements
helped develop the landscape to a major portion of the
recent addition to the Downtown campus in Barry Hall.
The team focused on creating unique public spaces while
emphasizing the campus feel of the new building.

- Bus pickup and drop-off location
- Foster school spirit congruent with the main campus

Land Elements was involved with the site design of this project, focusing mainly on bringing a native plant palette to a new LEED Silver healthcare facility in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Land Elements was hired by The Stage at Island Park to
help develop a unique entry sequence to the newly
renovated structure.
The challenge for our design team was to create a
modern yet timeless solution befitting of the venue’s location
in Island Park.
